Hypnosis and Safety

Is Hypnosis Safe?

Safety is always Top of Mind in the A.J. LaHaye Comedy Hypnosis Show.  Mr. LaHaye actually taught safety in schools for many years.  He is very careful to make sure everyone involved feels secure and comfortable throughout his show.

Physical Safety:  These are the same as with any show on a stage. Mr. LaHaye might suggest that his volunteers are all acutely aware of the edge of the stage or he might even tape the chairs together so they won't turn over. Volunteer spotters may be used at the edge of the stage to insure safety if the quality of the stage is poor.

Hypnotic Safety:  This is not therapy.  All suggestions are for fun only.  Because all hypnosis is self-hypnosis any suggestions can be overridden by a person's own conscious will at any time.  A person cannot be made to do anything they don't want to do.  They cannot get stuck in hypnosis.  All suggestions are temporary in nature and are cancelled at the end of the show anyway.

Very rarely a person with a hidden psychosis reacts adversely to hypnosis, in which case it is best to have a trained hypnotherapist with clinical experience to be in control of the show.  A.J LaHaye is just that.  Not only an entertainer he is a Clinical Hypnotherapist.  As the Director of Clear Lake Hypnosis in Seabrook, Texas he helped enrich people's lives with hypnosis for 3 years.

Hypnosis has been in use for centuries and has repeatedly been scientifically proven to be safe.  It is accepted by the medical community as a significant form of therapy.
