Fundraising Idea DetailsFundraising has never been easier! The plan: Tickets for the show are sold to friends and the general public by your group members. The more people you can get to attend, the more money your fund makes.
Now do the math. The average show ticket sells for $10. You can easily have 200, 400 or 600 people attend. If you have 400 attend, that is $4000 less the $300 leaves $3200. Take 60% of $3200 and you will raise $1920. At $7 per ticket, with 400 people, that is $2800 less $300 is $2500, your 60% is $1500. Anyway you add it up, it's fun and makes funds. Travel expenses for shows over 100 miles away from Houston, Texas come from the group's portion of ticket sales. (There are no travel expenses for shows within 100 miles from Houston.) That may include a mileage charge or airfare, ground transportation and a room for the night at a nice hotel. Of course, you may get someone to donate frequent flier miles, have someone meet and deliver Mr. LaHaye to and from the airport and get a room donated for the night. There's more! The fundraising doesn't stop with the end of the show. You can make even more money after the show! We're going to video the show and offer DVDs for sale. Your group members take orders and sell them for $30 each. We produce and ship the DVDs and you keep $10 each! And...... To help you with your fundraising event we provide you with: tickets, posters, fliers, ads for the newspaper and scripts for announcements. We provide everything you need to help you make the most profit and have the most fun with this fund raising event.
Here's all you provide: 2.) A suitable venue: auditorium or hall. The show is best seen on a stage or elevated platform such as in a school auditorium or assembly hall. A school might let you use their stage. A gymnasium is suitable as long as there is room for the stage or staging area and seating. A hotel ballroom is perfect and could be donated by a hotel. A stage of 16' by 20' is ideal. If no stage then an area that size is needed. Risers on which to do the show in a gym would be helpful though not absolutely necessary. The show can be done on the floor and the audience can sit on the floor too. 3.) An adequate sound system. A 100 watt or larger amplifier with at
least two inputs. A minimum of 2 speakers, more is always better.
Mr. LaHaye provides his own wireless microphone and music player. An adequate sound system can be provided at a minimal
cost if you do not
have one. 5.) An audience of 50 or more. a. A nice hotel room. If the location of the show requires an overnight stay you will need to provide a room at a nice hotel. (Usually your group can get this donated. If not, this and other travel expenses come from the group's part of the proceeds.) b. Airfare. If the location of the show requires air travel your group provides round-trip airfare from Houston or another city where Mr. LaHaye may be visiting. c. Ground transportation. Taxi or Rental Car to and from the airport, hotel and show. d. Mileage. If the location of the show does not require air travel mileage will be 50 cents per mile over 100 miles from Houston, Texas. Straight 50 cents per mile from any other start point. Be a hero and make fundraising easy with The A.J. LaHaye Comedy Hypnosis Fundraising Show
